I have neglected to mention that several weeks ago a good friend of ours was the joint winner of the major award (The Golden Fat) given to first year film students at the Canberra Institute of Technology. Jay's Down by the Lake was also the winner of best script.

It was on April 6, Good Friday, that I took a break from everything and played the part of "alien zombie no. 1" for the film. I take full responsibility for the costume - remarkable what you can quickly put together with a bit of cardboard, alfoil and lots and lots of gaffer tape. I also helped out with the music, doing pretty much all the incidental stuff. Not the first time I've done this sort of thing (thanks to arts degree student days of hanging out with friends doing the media production major) and it was a whole lot of big and silly fun.
